The Up & Down Mix is made from a carefully-developed blend of active ingredients creating a column of attraction from lakebed to surface as tiny particles, flavour and attraction rise and fall throughout the entire water column. This enables you to attract the carps' attention and entice them to your hook bait no matter what level they're sitiing at (click on the link below to watch this unique bait in action).

Suitable for use in PVA bags or for balling in as a groundbait, the Up & Down Mix is extremely popular for zig rig fishing, creating a column of attraction directly around your hook bait in mid water without the need for repeated casting - a scenario that no other carp bait can create.

Containing the same flavour/attractor profile as the Top Banana boilies, each bag is also supplied with 75ml of Big Shot liquid to further enhance the 'pulling power'. Mixed with this Big Shot liquid the mix will sink, but mix it with water and it'll float. Not only does this give you the ability to fine-tune the bait's buoyancy to suit any situation, but it's the closest thing you can get to fishing on the top, mid water and on the lakebed all at the same time.

Quick-Hit Thirty

Having been fishing for just two hours Jerome Sebillie slipped his net under this upper thirty. The French angler used a Method feeder loaded with [UDTB1] - Top Banana Up & Down Mix and an 11mm [TPOP11] - Top Banana Pop-Ups  hook bait.

Tiny Bait, Top Result

Jerome Sebille landed this impressive, dark, 30lb+ mirror in just a couple of hours fishing using just one rod. Using an [TPOP11] - Top Banana Pop-Ups   on a Method feeder set up loaded with [UDTB1] - Top Banana Up & Down Mix Jerome loweder the rig onto a pre-baited spot not far from the bank and quickly landed the picture-perfect carp.

Kicking Off In Style

On his first trip of the year to his target water Dennis Schürhaus has landed these two near 30lb mirrors as he kicks his campaign off in style.

Fishing over a spread of Top Banana and Chilli Club boilies, Dennis presented a snowman rig comprising an 18mm Chilli Club bottom bait and Top Banana Corker with a small PVA bag of crushed boilies (again Chilli Club and Top Banana) to tempt both carp.

What A Haul

In three and a half hours at Thorpe Lea fishery Darren Pearse and Dennis Roe landed 23 carp, 13 of them over 20lb.
Fishing with just one rod each, while other on the lake struggled, Darren and Dennis spodded our Up & Down Mix over the top of over-depth zig rigs with trimmed, 11mm Top Banana hook baits as well as spotting mixers soaked in our Hot Scottish Salmon Oil. Putting a few spoonful out after each fish kept the bites coming in what was a truly hectic few hours.
The biggest fish of the quick-hit, hauling session was a 26lb mirror.
50lb 10oz Mirror

What a carp! Field tester Rodrigue Daumont has landed this awesome mirror from his public, target water, all 50lb 10oz of it.
Fishing Top Banana hook baits over a bed of Top Banana freebies did the trick for our man.

Top Banana Triumph

This awesome mirror has been landed by field tester Daumont Rodrigue while fishing on a tough, private venue near his French home.

The Solar Tackle field tester presented a Top Banana pop-up coupled with a PVA bag of Top Banana Up & Down Mix on a small plateaux in 10ft of water.

Quick-Hit Thirty

A few hours on a local water using PVA sticks filled with Top Banana Up & Down Mix and a Top Banana snowman hook bait has seen team member Fred Ducros land this chunky, 30lb+ mirror.

Lovely, Dark Common

Spring is in the air but the water temperatures are still low, and so a cautious baiting approach has seen fieldtester Daumont Rodrigue land this lovey, dark common.

A 14mm Aniseed & Bunspice pop-up fished 3cm off the bottom, coupled with a small PVA stick of Top Banana Up & Down Mix and a little scattering of Top Banana freebies did the trick.

51lb Mirror

Two days fishing on Lac De Villedon for Norwegian fieldtester Hallvard Pedersen has seen him land two carp, the biggest of which was this 51lb mirror.

The experienced angler presented a 4th Rod Special Top Banana pop-up over a small bed of Top Banana Up & Down Mix, keeping baiting to a minimum due to low water temperatures.

12 Months On Solar Baits

Young-gun Harry Bontoft says: “It’s been one year since I started using Solar baits, and I’m so happy with the results that I wanted to share them with you. Truth be told, most of my fishing was actually done from February to August last year, as my alarms and pod were stolen in late August, which stopped me from going for a little while. Also, going to university in September stopped me from fishing as often as I would have liked, but this makes the results I enjoyed even more special.
“During the past 12 months I’ve had a play around with different Solar products on many different venues and enjoyed great success, landing plenty of carp including a few over 30lb.
“In particular the Up & Down Mixes fished with zig rigs as well as mixers soaked in Hot Scottish Salmon Oil have both produced extremely well during the warmer weather.
“The plan is to get out on the bank more this year and, fingers crossed, the carp will come my way.”
32lb Mirror Tops Productive Trip

This lovely 32lb mirror topped a productive trip for field tester Elmar Axt which out using 'fizzy boilies'.
Soaking our Top Banana boilies in matching Mega Big Shot liquid and then coating them in Top Banana Up & Down Mix Elmar gave his baits an 'active edge'.
Presenting a Top Banana snowman hook bait over the top of the 18mm freebies he enjoyed one of his most productive trips this year.
