PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The Up & Down Mix is made from a carefully-developed blend of active ingredients creating a column of attraction from lakebed to surface as tiny particles, flavour and attraction rise and fall throughout the entire water column. This enables you to attract the carps' attention and entice them to your hook bait no matter what level they're sitiing at (click on the link below to watch this unique bait in action).

Suitable for use in PVA bags or for balling in as a groundbait, the Up & Down Mix is extremely popular for zig rig fishing, creating a column of attraction directly around your hook bait in mid water without the need for repeated casting - a scenario that no other carp bait can create.

Containing the world-renowned Squid & Octopus flavour/attractor profile, each bag is also supplied with 75ml of Big Shot liquid to further enhance the 'pulling power'. Mixed with this Big Shot liquid the mix will sink, but mix it with water and it'll float. Not only does this give you the ability to fine-tune the bait's buoyancy to suit any situation, but it's the closest thing you can get to fishing on the top, mid water and on the lakebed all at the same time.

Carl Sharp landed three carp for a total weight of 92lb 1oz on a bitterly-cold winter session on Monk's Pit in Cambridgeshire. The Wolverhampton-based angler used maggot hook baits in conjunction with Squid & Octopus Up & Down Mix to land mirrors of 22lb 8oz, 33lb 1oz and 36lb 8oz all within the space of 24 hours.

My Biggest-Ever Carp

""

Carl Sharp landed his biggest-ever carp on his very first session using Seafood Take-Away boilies in the shape of The Creature from Laroussi, France, at 57lb 8oz. Carl presented a bottom bait over half a kilo of freebies and a few balls of [UDS1] - Squid & Octopus Up & Down Mix .

50lb Common

""

Following the capture of 7 different 50lb+ carp by Solar Tackle field testers in April, field tester Soren Poulson has just sent over details of another fifty!

Spending a week on an old, Italian gravel pit, the Danish angler landed more than a dozen carp, with the three biggest going 40lb, 43lb and an impressive 50lb common.

Soren fished over a big bed of 14mm anf 18mm Seafood Take-away boilies which he had soaked in Marine 17 liquid, presenting a single, 18mm Pink & White 'test bait' hook bait over the top coupled with a small PVA bag of Up & Down Mix.

What A Haul

""

In three and a half hours at Thorpe Lea fishery Darren Pearse and Dennis Roe landed 23 carp, 13 of them over 20lb.
Fishing with just one rod each, while other on the lake struggled, Darren and Dennis spodded our Up & Down Mix over the top of over-depth zig rigs with trimmed, 11mm Top Banana hook baits as well as spotting mixers soaked in our Hot Scottish Salmon Oil. Putting a few spoonful out after each fish kept the bites coming in what was a truly hectic few hours.

The biggest fish of the quick-hit, hauling session was a 26lb mirror.
Syndicate Success

""

A couple of nights on a local syndicate water has produced half a dozen fish to 27lb+ for Stewart Sweden.

Feeding a mixture of 14mm and 18mm TunaMino boilies and fishing a PVA bag of Squid & Octopus Up & Down Mix and a TunaMino hook bait over the top did the business.

3 Forties & 3 Thirties Landed In A Single Day

""

After pre-baiting an area on a local pit for a few days leading up to his session, team member Thomas Mascha has enjoyed an incredible day trip anding three forties and three thirties!

Fishing over a scattering of Seafodd Take-Away boilies soaked in hot Scottish Salmon Oil and Marine 17 liquid (the same baits that were used for probating), Thomas landed an incredible run of big fish, all in a single day.
His Seafood Take-Away hook bait was coupled with a small PVA bag of Squid & Octopus Up & Down Mix and the result was carp of
47lb, 41lb, 40lb 12oz, 36lb, 35lb 14oz and 34lb.

This just might be the best haul of big carp on a day-only session that we've ever heard of.

12 Months On Solar Baits

""

Young-gun Harry Bontoft says: “It’s been one year since I started using Solar baits, and I’m so happy with the results that I wanted to share them with you. Truth be told, most of my fishing was actually done from February to August last year, as my alarms and pod were stolen in late August, which stopped me from going for a little while. Also, going to university in September stopped me from fishing as often as I would have liked, but this makes the results I enjoyed even more special.
“During the past 12 months I’ve had a play around with different Solar products on many different venues and enjoyed great success, landing plenty of carp including a few over 30lb.
“In particular the Up & Down Mixes fished with zig rigs as well as mixers soaked in Hot Scottish Salmon Oil have both produced extremely well during the warmer weather.
“The plan is to get out on the bank more this year and, fingers crossed, the carp will come my way.”
